Autoresponder
Autoresponder werden oft so verstanden, daß sie z.B. im Urlaub automatisch auf einkommende Mails eine Antwort generieren.
Diese Idee ist allerdings nur ein Teil der damit einhergehenden Implikationen, denn es werden ebenfalls auch Mails für die folgenden Fälle generiert:
- Spam - eine bessere Bestätigung dafür, daß der Spam angekommen ist, gibt es nicht.
- gefälschte Absenderadressen - Hier bekommen unbeteiligte Dritte den eigenen Spam ebenfalls.
- Mailinglisten - Mit der Benutzung einer Mailingliste wird für jedes Posting eine Mail auf die Mailingliste generiert. Dies führt berechtigterweise oft zum Ausschluß von der Liste.
- weitere Fälle (Einbrecher, Bounces etc.)

Im Mailsystem der HfbK gibt es keine Autoresponder.
