Recently moved from Berlin to Hamburg to study and being a total stranger in the city, I decided to take my camera and my friend on a special sight seeing tour.
Using the Shot-Reverse-Shot technique, I asked passers-by (couples) to take our picture and after that "shot back at them" from where I stood when they photographed us.
Which means that only me and my friend had the priviliged space behind us that we chose to be worth to be the background/ stage for our picture.
For their shot I left any decision of composition etc. to the stangers. As tourists usually do it, I just gave them my camera to do me the favor.
The dialogic character of the photographs is magically stressed by the striking similarities in the picture couples, such as repeating colors (first pair), distances (second), moving hands (third), big letters (fourth) in the pictures.
This is not a selection of many more pictures. These are all we took.
