At the moment I’m coursing the undergraduate studies on Plastic Arts at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia. As a work resource I’ve been using video. Yet I suppose my interest relies in the text, the discursive, provoking time to eventually unchain concepts –conceptual opening-, or better notions. Nevertheless I find text, by itself, sterile.
My work concerns existence, the daily life, the quiet life of any man and its capacity to make the most of it, the creativity implied in the sense of existing. In this way I’ve made use of video as a medium in which stories can be told: particular narrations, bordering the documental, which can nevertheless transform into meanings in a diachronic time, taking a leap into the immanent discourse. I consider video a narrative medium.
Actualmente me encuentro cursando el pregrado de Artes Plásticas. Como medio de trabajo he dispuesto del video. Pero supongo que mi interés recae en el texto, lo discursivo, provocando el tiempo, desencadenando en conceptos –apertura conceptual-, o mejor nociones. Ahora bien, el texto por sí mismo es estéril.
Mi ocupación es la existencia, la vida cotidiana, la vida serena de cualquier hombre en su capacidad de potenciar su vida, aquello que cada hombre tiene de creador en el sentido de su existencia. Así me he servido del video, como un medio en el que se pueden contar historia, narraciones particulares, limitando con lo documental, pero asimismo puede transformarse en un tiempo diacrónico, dando el salto al discurso inmanente.
